CEN-CENELEC JTC 21 on Artificial Intelligence are pleased to highlight two fundamental AI standards that are now available for Public Enquiry, marking an important milestone in the development of European AI standards. The two standards are:
✅ EN 18228 – AI Risk Management
✅ EN 18282 – Cybersecurity specifications for AI systems
These deliverables contribute to the broader European efforts to establish a robust and coherent standardization framework for Artificial Intelligence, supporting the implementation of the EU AI Act and promoting trustworthy AI across sectors.
The launch of the Public Enquiry provides stakeholders with an opportunity to review the proposed provisions and submit comments, thereby ensuring that the resulting standard reflects broad consensus, technical quality, and practical applicability.
